These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of colorfrom.cc and the ColorFrom website, tools, and related functionality. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Use of the site

ColorFrom is a free tool that helps users search images, sample colors, and generate color palettes. You may use the site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the site, its infrastructure, or other users.

No warranty

ColorFrom is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or reliability.

We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that any output, palette, search result, or third-party content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ColorFrom and its owner, operator, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the site.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ColorFrom and its owner will also not be liable for any claim, damage, loss, or expense arising from:

• your reliance on any colors, palettes, exports, or other output generated by the site
• errors, interruptions, downtime, or defects in the site
• third-party services, content, images, APIs, hosting, or CDN providers
• unauthorized access to or use of systems or transmissions
• any viruses, malicious code, or other technologically harmful material transmitted through the site by third parties

If, despite the other provisions of these Terms, any liability is found, the maximum aggregate liability of ColorFrom and its owner to you for any claim relating to the site will not exceed ten U.S. dollars (US $10.00) or the amount you paid to use the site, whichever is greater. Because the site is currently free, that amount will usually be US $10.00 or less as allowed by law.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use the site and any decisions you make based on its output. You should independently review colors, generated palettes, exported code, and any third-party content before relying on them in design, business, accessibility, branding, or production decisions.

Third-party content and services

ColorFrom depends on third-party services and may display or retrieve third-party content, including images and search results from Unsplash and infrastructure from Netlify and other providers. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, terms, or privacy practices.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the site’s operation, scrape or overload the service in an abusive way, or use the site in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

Intellectual property

The ColorFrom site design, branding, and original site content are owned by or licensed to Kevin Doyle, except for third-party content that remains owned by its respective rights holders. Use of third-party images and content may be subject to separate terms from their providers.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ColorFrom and its owner, operator, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, and fees, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Changes and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of the site at any time, without notice or liability. We may also update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site owner is based, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
